What’s new for 2021-22?

Are you thinking: ‘How can I develop Maths in my school?’ Are you filling out your action plan for the year? At West Yorkshire Maths Hub, we can support your planning for the year with our fully funded Work Groups!

We thought we’d make it easy for you to see some of the opportunities and support West Yorkshire Maths Hub have available for you and your school to be a part of, whether that be Early Years, Primary, Secondary or Post 16! Our Work Groups aim to cater for all from Non-Specialist projects to Sustaining and Development plus much more. Read on to find the Work Group for you…

What can I access to develop myself as a subject leader and my wider school?

If you are a school who has completed a Teaching for Mastery Work Group in the past, you are eligible to join our Sustaining Network Sessions. These sessions look at areas such as:

  • Addressing gaps in knowledge – especially in light of Covid.
  • Designing lessons to meet the needs of all learners.
  • How to support members of staff who haven’t been part of the Teaching for Mastery programme first hand.

As well as many others.

The Network Sessions are based in your local area, run by Teaching for Mastery Specialists and are completely free to attend. If you think that you are eligible and would like to know more, email us directly: wymh@westyorkshiremathshub.co.uk.

If you are a Secondary teacher, you can access our funded Teaching for Mastery Development Work Group. You will receive £2,000 to develop Teaching for Mastery in your school with the support of a Teaching for Mastery Specialist. Find out more here >>

Secondary leads can also access our NEW Secondary Subject Leadership Work Group. Find out more here >>

Our Secondary Winter Conference was a success!

We recently hosted a free Secondary Winter Conference for all teachers of Secondary and Post 16. Our aim was to support as many teachers in the West Yorkshire region and to help develop knowledge of all things Teaching for Mastery.

The conference was a success and we managed to engage with many teachers not just in our region, but nationally as well!

Thank you to everyone who took part. We can’t wait to see you at one of our Work Groups!

Check out our graphic which goes into more detail about the conference:
