RIWG: SEND

Develop your understanding of Teaching for Mastery (TfM) in the context of a SEND setting or provision.

This Work Group is for individuals who would like to develop their understanding of Teaching for Mastery (TfM) in the context of a SEND setting or provision.

The Work Group will provide the opportunities for participating schools to deepen their understanding of how to develop TfM in SEND settings and will provide support to participants to adapt their policies and practices in using and understanding the 5 big ideas of TfM. Participants will work together to develop a shared understanding of achievement and how it has been successfully mastered.

6 sessions which will compromise of an introductory twilight session, followed by four additional morning sessions lasting 2 hours. There will be a final session to summarise and bring the Work Group to a close.

The SEND Programme is fully funded by the Maths Hubs Programme so is free to participating schools.
