RIWG: Effective Multimedia Learning – Primary & Secondary

Have you ever wanted to make high quality animated mathematics models and representations in PowerPoint?

Many teachers are finding themselves having to make their own front of class presentations or adapt other ones such as those offered by the NCETM.  We know from research what makes the most effective forms of animations in multimedia learning, but one of the barriers to making them, for many teachers, can be simply a lack of knowledge of how to use the tools that are already built into PowerPoint.  In this one hour packed session, James Clegg will talk through how teachers can make simple but highly effective PowerPoint animations to help pupils understand key concepts in mathematics.  This session is perfect for anyone who is looking to begin or improve their PowerPoint animating skills.

This Work Group is suitable for those in primary or secondary settings.
